Translation:  “Our bones carry the deepest flows of life energy. Our tissues can hold the stories of our past. Beneath body, mind, and emotions lies an energy field that shapes our health and wholeness. When this field is in balance, we feel aligned, alive, and well.” ❤︎

Why I Love Zero Balancing

Zero Balancing is a gift that keeps on giving. It has touched not only my life but the very core-being of the clients I work with. For me, it was the first time my nervous system felt profoundly safe—and in that safety, something deep within me could soften and trust again.

Zero Balancing helps people feel safe and connected inside — and from that place, they relate to others with more kindness and ease. Healing doesn’t stay inside; it ripples outward. ❤︎

What is Zero Balancing?

Zero Balancing, created by Dr. Fritz Smith in the 1970s, is a form of transformative bodywork.
It works at the meeting place of structure and energy—using gentle, skilled touch to bring balance to bones, joints, and the flow of life force within.

Where massage focuses on muscles, ZB touches the deep currents of energy in the bones. By creating fulcrums—points of balance and stillness—the body can reorganize, release old patterns, and restore harmony at every level: physical, emotional, and energetic.

What a Session Looks Like

  • Sessions are typically an hour: 30–45 minutes of touch, with time before and after to check in. This gives space for your body and nervous system to arrive, receive, and settle.

  • You remain fully clothed, making this work a comfortable option for all.

  • Through gentle finger pressure and subtle traction, I create fulcrums—quiet places of pause that invite your body to rest, reset, and reorganize.

  • Each session is unique. Some people experience deep stillness, others feel lighter, clearer, or more at ease.

Why Choose a Pure Zero Balancing Session?

I often blend Zero Balancing into restorative massage—but a pure ZB session offers something very different.

When we focus only on Zero Balancing, we stay fully at the level of the bones. This is where the deepest currents of energy flow, and where the most profound re-organization can happen. Instead of working broadly across many layers, a pure session allows us to go deep and precise.

Clients often describe these sessions as grounding, clarifying, and spacious—like something inside has finally been met and settled. Massage soothes the muscles beautifully, while Zero Balancing in its pure form touches the core of you.

How Zero Balancing Supports Healing

Zero Balancing works at the meeting place of structure and energy, which means its effects can be felt across the whole of who you are—body, mind, heart, and spirit.

Physical

  • Releases deep tension held in bones, joints, and soft tissues.

  • Supports better alignment and ease of movement.

  • May help relieve patterns of chronic stress or discomfort by addressing imbalances at their root.

  • Encourages the nervous system to rest and reset.

Emotional

  • Creates a safe space for emotions to surface and gently release.

  • Helps ease feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, or heaviness.

  • Invites a greater sense of inner calm and stability.

Mental

  • Clears mental “clutter,” creating a sense of clarity and focus.

  • Supports decision-making and the ability to respond to life from a grounded place.

  • Helps shift long-held patterns of thought and reactivity.

Spiritual

  • Opens pathways to feel more connected to yourself and to life as a whole.

  • Strengthens the sense of inner stillness and presence.

  • Helps you trust your own inner wisdom and the flow of your journey.

What Zero Balancing Can Do

Zero Balancing offers more than relief—it offers transformation. Some of the gifts people often notice include:

  • A profound sense of grounding and safety.

  • Release of tension and stress carried deep in the body.

  • Mental clarity and emotional balance.

  • A stronger connection to one’s inner wisdom and wholeness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to undress?
No. You remain fully clothed.

Is it like massage?
Not exactly. ZB uses gentle pressure and traction with bones and joints, working with both the body and its energy field.

Will it hurt?
No. The touch is precise yet gentle—often described as grounding and restful.

How long is a session?
Sessions are typically 30–45 minutes of touch, with time before and after to check in. This gives space for your body and nervous system to arrive, receive, and integrate.

How many sessions do I need?
It’s different for everyone and depends on your unique situation. Some people notice shifts after just one session, while others benefit from a series of sessions over time.

For deeper or long-standing patterns, it can be supportive to begin with three weekly consecutive sessions. This rhythm gives your body space to absorb the work and for us to explore how you’re responding. After those three, we pause together and reassess: Do we continue, rest, or shift directions?

Should I try a pure Zero Balancing session or ZB mixed into massage?
It depends on what you’re looking for.

  • If you’d like a session that soothes muscles, eases tension, and introduces you to the flavor of ZB, then a massage with ZB elements can be a beautiful option.

  • If you’re curious about the full depth of Zero Balancing—where the work stays at the level of the bones and energy field—then a pure ZB session allows us to go deeper and more precise. Clients often describe these sessions as grounding, clarifying, and transformational.

Pricing

I operate on a sliding scale for Zero Balancing to honor both accessibility and sustainability. This allows each person to choose the rate that feels aligned with their needs and means.

Choose the rate that feels right for you:

  • $100 — for those who need financial support

  • $125 — the standard rate for sustaining this practice

  • $150 — for those who have the means and wish to help support reduced-rate sessions for others

This sliding scale is my way of caring for both the community and myself—ensuring that this work remains accessible, while also honoring the time, training, and presence I bring to each session.

Your presence is enough. Gratitude is already felt in every session. The sliding scale is my set fee structure—please choose the rate that feels right for you. ❤︎
